Meet the maker
Born to Clay is the vibrant ceramic workshop created by mother-daughter duo Roberta and Leila Ferreira. Rooted in a passion passed down through the family and a desire to reconnect guests with their natural, creative selves, the atelier thrives in the former architecture studio of Roberta’s grandfather.
Roberta, a ceramist with over 22 years of experience, trained at Escola Llotja and holds the title of Master Ceramist from the Generalitat de Catalunya; her deep understanding of clay as both artistic expression and therapeutic practice informs every session.
Leila, an architect by training who grew up among clay and wheels, now leads and coordinates workshops, delighting in the transformative surprises of glaze and mold.
